The Mothers’ Opinion for Education in Kindergarten as an Indicator for their Participation in the Pedagogical Work of Preschool Learning Environments
Our article is a searching registration towards the wider understanding of the mothers’ opinions about education in Kindergarten. The motive for that became the scientific substantiation of empirical research that:
a. the participation of mothers in the pedagogical work of Kindergartens depends on the information as far as the preschool education is concerned and
b. their positive position is a herald of a permanent cooperation to the preschool programs(Powell,1989,Sakellariou,2008)
Sixty interviews with of preschool children mothers took place. After the data analysis concerning our research, we recorded a positive opinion of the mothers for the education of kindergarteners through an big amount of variables. The research results are also interpreted with extracts from the interviews which substantiate the presentation of the problem offering better understanding.

I have graduated from the Department of Theology in 1987 and finished my two years postgraduate studies in Pedagogic in 1989. I have graduated from the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care at the TEI of Thessaloniki in 1993. During the academic year 1990/91 I finished my postgraduate studies in Pedagogic at the University of Zurich. From 1995 to 2003 I have worked as teacher at a High school. In 2001 I finished my PhD thesis on “The Christian Education at the Preschool age”. Now, I am working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Ioannina. My teaching and research objectives are Preschool education, Social Pedagogic, Didactic of social and ethical education. My interests are extended to intercultural education, environmental ethics and environmental education. I have published an important number of papers as well as a book about social pedagogic and as co-author three other useful manuals for praxis at the early childhood schools.
