Drug Abuse Among Students of Tertiary Institutions: South Western Nigeria

The study investigated the euphoria nature of the use of drugs among youths of our tertiary institutions students. Also, the study captures issues of drug abuse prevalence in some of our various institutions in South Western Nigeria. Data were gathered through quantitative and qualitative methods out of which a total representation was choosing to analyze the findings/data.

I am Dosunmu Akinola George Born 33 years Ago To The Family of Mr. and Mrs. S.O Dosunmu, Born in Lagos state, grew up in Lagos state, I had my primary education at Aje Methodist Primary School Sabo Yaba and obtained a primary school leaving certificate in the year 1986, Thereafter I proceeded for my post primary Education in same year at Aje Comprehensive High School Sabo Yaba, in the year 1992 I obtained a senior secondary school leaving certificate in year 1992. After my secondary school education, I worked as a clerical officer at Nigerian Breweries plc, Iganmu Lagos after a while I proceeded to Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University to study Sociology where I bagged B.Sc degree award in Sociology in the year 1999, After my first degree I worked as part timer lecturer at the then Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Thereafter later in my career for academic pursuit I further my Education to postgraduate level where I obtained M.Sc Sociology at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in year 2005. Presently I work as a fulltime Lecturer at Tai Solarin University of Education, www.tasu.edu.ng.

Edobor Michael Erhabor

I was born in to the ERHABOR family by Mr. Napoleon and Mrs. Lucy Erhabor in 1973, 2nd March. I obtained a secondary school leaving certificate in 1992,a National Certificate of Education in political Science and Religious Studies in 1998. I am married with three kids with ages 7, 5, and 4 respectively. A bachelors degree in Social Studies from the University of Ado-Ekiti in 2002 and awaiting my Masters degree final results from University of Benin that have just been completed in December 2007, all in Nigeria. I have spent Ten years working in the Education Sector. A secondary school teacher for four years; an instructor in Tai Solarin college of Education during the same period and a graduate assistant lecturer in Tai Solarin university of Education Since 2005. I have attended several conferences and seminars have both published and unpublished journal articles and mimeographs to my credit. My hobbies are studying political issues, playing football and play music. I am capable of working under pressure with less supervision after instructions. I have no present or previous criminal case and absolutely satisfied with my job and its descriptions.
