Dr. Fernanda Duarte

Fernanda Duarte was born in Brazil, but has lived in Australia since 1974. She has a PhD in Sociology from the University of New South Wales, and is currently a lecturer and researcher at the School of Management, University of Western Sydney (UWS). Fernanda’s research interests lie in the areas of organisation and culture, corporate social responsibility, globalisation theory, gender studies and discourse analysis. She is currently a core research team member in a major cross-cultural project funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). This project investigates the role of informal practices and networks in bureaucratic settings in Brazil, Mexico and Australia.
