The relevance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the day to day activities of human life particularly in the educational sector cannot be overemphasized. The Nigerian National Policy on Education (NPE 2004) gave recognition to the prominent role information and communication technology play in advancing knowledge and skills necessary for effective functioning in the modern world particularly its integration into education. This paper investigated the extent to which information and communication technology had been used in teaching and learning in pre-primary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. Twelve teachers from six pre-primary schools (private schools) were involved in this study. The children involved in this study were aged between three and five years old. The twelve teachers had a mix of training backgrounds; some were qualified nursery school teachers and others were school certificate holders. The findings revealed that most of the teachers need to be well trained in the use of computer in teaching. Recommendations were made on how to improve the situation.
