MyLinE is a short form for My Learning in English, an online language learning support initiated by one public university in Malaysia. MyLinE has then been introduced and implemented in all public universities in the country. Nonetheless, the initiative seems unfruitful at the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM). Thus, this paper attempts to investigate the reasons behind the failure. As this is a preliminary study, only 29 students were used in a survey, where they answered questionnaires and participated in in-depth interviews. It is found that the reasons why students are not responding well to MyLinE are mainly due to time and technical limitations.
